Currently, Dionne is an Application Development Manager- STEM for London’s largest transport network
provider. Dionne spearheads the successful delivery of the software development graduate and apprenticeship schemes, offering aspiring software developers an accelerated path to success within 18-24 months. Sitting on the Technology Development Senior Management Board she further demonstrates her strategic influence at the organisation.
As a former Agile Development Lead, Dionne managed a team of 12 Android and iOS developers, driving the development and implementation of the award winning app TfL Go after being an Senior Android developer herself for three years on the same product. This innovative travel planning application was designed for everyone with a heavy focus on accessibility. Dionne has previous experience as a Java developer delivering business critical applications in the public transport, education and employment service sectors.
Beyond her corporate endeavours, Dionne embraces her role as a tech career coach and founder of Techfidence. She empowers women facing career dissatisfaction, guiding them to build the inner confidence needed to transition into tech. Through a soulful exploration of their mindset, skill sets and next steps, she tailors a personalised confidence coaching programme. This transformative programme empowers clients to identify and overcome limiting beliefs, provides guidance on tech roles and required skills, devises realistic career plans and holds them accountable throughout their tech career journey. The programme has achieved life changing results for clients.
Dionne’s contributions have reached broader audiences through her published works in the well received books “Black and Great” and “The Voices In the Shadow”. Her influence is acknowledged with her inclusion on prestigious lists such as Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in UK Tech long list in both 2023 and 2022 and she received accolades as a Financial Times Top 100 Most Influential BAME Leaders in Tech and a WeAreTheCity TechWomen50 Award Winner.
